万建民

中国工程院院士——万建民

万建民,农学院教授、博士生导师、中国工程院院士。1999年被教育部聘为首批“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授。2000年回国工作,历任南京农业大学农学院院长、中国农业科学院作物科学研究所所长、中国农业科学院副院长。兼任中国作物学会常务副理事长、中国农业生物技术学会理事长、国家转基因生物新品种培育科技重大专项技术总师、国家发改委生物技术产业咨询委员会副秘书长、国家重点研发计划专家组组长。

万建民长期从事水稻优异基因挖掘和分子育种研究,在国内较早提出和初步实践了作物分子设计育种。先后主持国家863、国家自然科学基金等多项重大课题。在水稻籼粳交杂种优势利用基础研究、品质优异基因挖掘、抗病虫新基因挖掘和优质高产多抗粳稻新品种选育等方面取得重要进展。克隆水稻重要新基因36个,培育新品种13个,获新品种权16项、发明专利35项。在NatureNature BiotechnologyNature ComminucationDevelopmental CellPNASPlant CellSCI刊物发表论文200余篇,出版专著3部。研究成果“抗条纹叶枯病高产优质粳稻新品种选育及应用” 2010年获国家科技进步一等奖(第一完成人),并获教育部2010年度高校十大科技进展。“水稻籼粳杂种优势利用相关基因挖掘与新品种培育”2014年获国家技术发明二等奖(第一完成人)。水稻矮化多分蘖基因DWARF 53的图位克隆和功能研究,阐明独脚金内酯调控水稻分蘖和株型的信号途径,入选教育部2014年度高校十大科技进展和2014年度中国科学十大进展。2006年入选新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选,2012年入选国家万人计划和科技部创新团队,2012年获得何梁何利基金科学与技术进步奖。2015年当选为中国工程院院士。
